How to export your Tradovate history.
The same steps the journal shows when you add a Tradovate account. About a minute, and you only do it once per file.
In Tradovate, open the ORDERS tab. Not Performance, not Positions, not Fills.
Set the date range to cover the days you traded, then wait for the table to fill in. Exporting a table that is still loading gives you an empty file — scroll it once to be sure.

What Tradovate traders ask.
Is it really free?
Yes. No card, no trial, no limit on trades. The journal is free because Trade 13/48 sells a trading system, not a journal — the journal is how we show our numbers are right.
Which Tradovate file do I export?
Orders — the Orders tab, exported to CSV with every column. Not Performance, not Positions, not Fills. If the download comes out empty, the table had not finished loading: scroll it once and export again.
Do my bracket orders count?
Yes. The stop and target you placed are how the journal works out your planned risk, so R multiples come from what you actually set rather than a number you type in later.
Does it read my account statement?
No, and please don't upload one. The journal reads your order or trade history — the table of fills — never a statement. A statement carries your account number and balances, and the journal refuses it rather than store it.
What if the file can't be read?
The journal keeps it and tells you plainly, rather than showing wrong numbers. When the format can be read, your trades import on their own and you get an email.
